Walnut is becoming increasingly popular as a wood for back and sides. It works well and can hold a beautiful finish.
The tone produced from a walnut guitar is sometimes thought to be slightly softer than with rosewood, but this is anecdotal.
I have available to special order, a few sets of high quality figured english walnut from a tree which fell in the storm of 1987.

	Indian Rosewood Because of the scarcity and price of Brazilian Rosewood, Indian Rosewood has now taken over as the general wood of choice for classical backs and sides. Fortunately, I have been able to obtain the stock of a retiring luthier, and so have a good quantity of top quality sets - mostly over twenty years old.
